Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To drive vehicles safely, following the traffic laws, considering road and weather conditions and being courteous to other road users.
- To appear well groomed, representing the company in a professional manner.
- To provide customer service with a positive attitude.
- To complete detailed documented checks of both vehicle and mileage recording on the Inspection Sheet and Submit the same as instructed.
- Establish and maintain good work relationship with colleagues.
- Maintain detailed records of fuel usage, mileage, and servicing.
- Does not permit unauthorized person or property to be carried in the vehicle.
- Drives in a responsible manner to reflect a professional driving attitude.
- Responsible and accountable for ensuring driving licenses are valid.
- Conducts a vehicle check at the commencement of the shift daily and reports defects to Property and the Line Manager.
- Ensure the vehicle always has sufficient fuel.
- Responsible and accountable for all tools and equipment issued to the vehicle.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Hygiene and sanitary standards of the car must always be well maintained.
- Report incidents to Property and the line manager in a timely manner.
- Behave in a courteous manner towards any member of the public to maintain a good company image, without making any admission of guilt.
Business
- Ensure efficient use of fuel to minimise cost and contribute to the carbon offset agenda.
Processes
- Follow the laid down process in terms of management of the CEO’s fleet especially in terms of reporting incidents and taking record as might be required i.e., mileage, fuel card utilisation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education ‘O-Levels’ with at least a credit in Maths and English.
- Valid Driving permit with UDSA Certificate.
- At least two years of experience driving a senior person
- Defensive driving certificate
- Good eyesight and in good physical health for the role
- Ability to communicate in good English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Time Management
