Job Summary:  Inyatsi Construction Ltd is looking for a Mature and Professional Individual to fill up the Position of Sociologist to be based in Isingiro District/Kabuyanda Sub County Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster professional relationships between the community and the organisation, and other stakeholders
• Study human interaction and organisation
• Observe the activity of social, religious, political, and economic groups, organisations and institutions.
• Examine the effect of social influences and organisations.
• Responsible for understanding and addressing the social impacts of the project on the surrounding communities.
• Ensure that the project considers the social dynamics, cultural considerations and community needs to minimise negative impacts and foster positive relations.
• Design research projects to test theories about social issues.
• Collect data through surveys, observations, interviews, and other sources.
• Analyse and draw conclusions from data.
• Prepare reports, articles, or presentations detailing their research findings.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology or Social Sciences
• At least five years of working experience preferably having worked for World Bank funded projects or any Multilateral Development Funded projects.
