Job Summary: Inyatsi Construction Ltd is looking for a Mature and Professional Individual to fill up the Position of Sociologist to be based in Isingiro District/Kabuyanda Sub County Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster professional relationships between the community and the organisation, and other stakeholders
- Study human interaction and organisation
- Observe the activity of social, religious, political, and economic groups, organisations and institutions.
- Examine the effect of social influences and organisations.
- Responsible for understanding and addressing the social impacts of the project on the surrounding communities.
- Ensure that the project considers the social dynamics, cultural considerations and community needs to minimise negative impacts and foster positive relations.
- Design research projects to test theories about social issues.
- Collect data through surveys, observations, interviews, and other sources.
- Analyse and draw conclusions from data.
- Prepare reports, articles, or presentations detailing their research findings.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology or Social Sciences
- At least five years of working experience preferably having worked for World Bank funded projects or any Multilateral Development Funded projects.
