About US:
Kulika Uganda a non-profit making organisation registered with the NGO- Board is a brainchild of Kulika UK which started in 1981. It was founded by Patricia Brenninkmeyer who had been a social worker in Uganda. She saw the need in post- Amin Uganda to give opportunities to bright students to study when much of the academic and institutional infrastructure of the country was non-functional. Patricia had special interest in children and their feeding, hence the start of agriculture to feed the children and educational scholarships, to empower them.
Kulika Uganda (KU) whose mission is to inspire communities, households and individuals with self-confidence and provide skills and knowledge to harness their resources for lasting change economically and environmentally sustainable in their lives, has secured funding from KOICA and Sumsung through Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to implement a Project entitled “Design for second life Innovations”. The interventions will be implemented in Rhinocamp and Imvepi refugee settlements in Terego and Madi – Okollo districts’
Job Summary: The Business Trainer will be responsible to train youth in market oriented technical, entrepreneurial and managerial skills, confidence building and skills necessary to enhance their potentials and sustainable earning. He/she would be responsible to conduct Basic Business Skills training Training, Pre & Post test assessment, Training Evaluation, Assessment and evaluation of business ideas etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Basic Business skills training
- Business Plan development around successful solutions
- Mentorship to beneficiary individuals and groups
- Marketing plan development
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Microfinance, Economics, Entrepreneurship or any related field from a reputable institution
- At least three years of experience in conducting entrepreneurship trainings
- Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office) is mandatory
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills are must
