Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and conduct the digital transformation of KCB Bank Uganda financial services offerings.
- Oversee the design and implementation of all projects under the DFS portfolio.
- Develop and execute strategies for digital financial services.
- Lead the project team to develop alternative channels for KCB Bank Uganda to deliver digital financial services at scale. This will involve partnership development, business cases and contract writing, project road mapping, dedicating appropriate resources, monitoring and evaluation, and assessing, managing and resolving risks and issues related to DFS projects.
- Ensure that the technical integration and developments are aligned with the business requirements and results in a seamless customer digital/mobile interface and user-friendly digital/mobile operations. Works closely with technology partners to identify and rectify issues and further improvements.
- Lead the project team for piloting and implementing digital products and services and ensures ongoing improvement based on customer-client feedback and insights.
- Provide support to train and direct the operations of Digital Channels teams to deliver on providing digital financial services across KCB Bank Uganda branch network.
- Ensure timely reporting of the DFS portfolio indicators and work towards improving month on month usage of all bank’s digital channels.
- Responsible for managing digital financial services relationships with all service providers and stakeholders.
- Continuously develop safeguards to control risk exposures in DFS.
- Analysis of performance and giving feedback on DFS to the Team and Business.
- Coordinate and provide clarity to the branches on DFS strategic initiatives as well as Training.
- Manage Corporate Agents and Merchants in line with KCBU DFS Strategic objectives.
- Strategy implementation and liaising with support functions in order to grow DFS business contribution.
- Overall Performance Management for the unit’s staff.
- Other Duties: The DFS Manager will perform other duties as are necessary in the execution of his/her duties and any other duties delegated by the Head of Retail, the Managing Director and any other Heads of Functions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance/economics/ Information Technology.
- At least four years of related experience working in financial institution, product development, digital finance, microfinance/micro-lending, technology for development, and/or payments platforms.
- At least two (2) years in a management position within digital financial services.
- Exposure to development of DFS strategy management and assessment of business processes and requirements to inform the design and implementation of DFS projects.
- Experience in conducting customer centric research for DFS and using customer insights to drive DFS adoption, usage, and impact Substantial exposure in implementing digital field applications, mobile payments agent banking, and or other DFS projects.
- Experience in project management.
- Ability to lead assignments, teams and work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with MNOs, FinTech/regulators is an added advantage.
