Job Summary: AMSAF is seeking a competent Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our grain distribution facility in Lira, Uganda. This is a full-time role reporting to the Head of Warehouses under the Distribution Department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee machine operations for grain drying & cleaning
- Supervise grain quality, aeration & inventory in storage
- Implement preventative and corrective maintenance
- Coordinate site activities and enforce safety protocols
- Lead and manage on-site labor teams
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering, or Business
- Master’s in Business Management (an added advantage)
- 2-5 years’ experience supervising site/construction operations
- Strong background in grain handling, HSE, and team leadership
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Work Conditions
- Full-time role with both indoor and outdoor duties
- Exposure to hot, dusty, and noisy environments during grain drying
- Must work around large and potentially dangerous machinery
- Requires strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE use
- Work intensity may vary based on seasonal demand
