About Organisation:
Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) is a limited liability company incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act. UEDCL owns the 33KV and below voltage electricity distribution networks and all the operational assets associated with the business.
Job Summary: To be engaged in designing, implementing, coordinating and assessing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of UEDCL staff. The role involves coordinating training logistics, evaluating program effectiveness and maintaining training records.
Impact:
The graduate trainee (Training & Development), will be engaged to ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for their roles, contributing to increased productivity, improved job performance and employee engagement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in content development and facilitation of training sessions and workshops for employees.
- Coordinating of training logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and preparing training materials.
- Identifying training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and prepare reports for management review.
- Conduct continuous research on best practices in training and development to enhance skills development.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Manage participant enrolment and attendance tracking
- Prepare reports on training outcomes and areas for improvement
- Any other assigned duty.
Expected Output
- Documented findings on employee training needs aligned with organizational goals
- Detailed evaluations of program effectiveness and recommendations for improvement
- Timely arrangements for venues, materials and participant tracking
- Accurate and secure documentation of employee training history and certificates.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Technical Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have graduated within the last three (3) years from a recognized institution.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
