Job Summary: The Data Analyst Assistant will work closely with senior data analysts to collect, clean, analyze, and report on data. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in data analytics who wants hands-on experience with real-world datasets, tools, and business problems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in data collection, entry, cleaning, and validation
- Support in preparing dashboards and regular reports
- Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Collaborate with departments to gather data requirements
- Maintain and organize datasets in Excel, databases, or cloud platforms
- Help automate repetitive reporting tasks using scripts or tools
- Document findings and present results to team members
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Basic knowledge of SQL or a programming language (e.g., Python, R) is a plus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to manage time and multitask under guidance
