Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of the Upper and Lower completion contracts, Wellheads & Xmas tree contract as well as rig less well intervention contracts.
- Responsible for the kickoff and follow up of the detailed engineering, purchase orders and manufacturing of Upper and Lower completion equipment with immediate impact on first oil if delays.
- Responsible for all the activities related to the wells SOR and engineering for Tilenga Factory drilling context: 1 well delivered every 4 days with 5 rigs, meaning designing an average of 100 new completions per year followed
- Carry out the Call For Tender exercise and process for Well intervention, Wellheads & Xmas tree, Upper and Lower completion equipment and services. Recommend Contractors for same.
- Review detailed engineering before fabrication, to develop qualification procedure and program, to review and approve the identified required physical tests on equipment (SIT, FAT,).
- Assist the Drilling and Wells engineering leader for the preparation of the General Completion Program.
- Prepare completion and wells intervention DRILLEX (CAPEX, OPEX).
- Manage and coordinate Well intervention, Wellheads & Xmas tree, Upper and Lower completion contracts, ensuring contracts readiness and implementation prior operation start up, and during operations. Liaise closely with the Contracts and Cost Control departments to ensure all contracts are up to date.
- Elaborate in collaboration with Drilling engineering team and GSR team all necessary completion and well intervention requirements to issue wells’ SOR in due time.
- Develop the detailed design for production and water injection wells completion, interventions, well testing and investigate innovative solutions.
- Lead completion and well intervention engineering studies to ensure wells construction, wells integrity and wells production delivery.
- Develop detailed completion and well intervention programs and operations guidelines, in line with FP referential.
- Select and promote new completion and well intervention techniques and equipment.
- Update the weekly completion & wells intervention operations planning, in line with the drilling schedule, ensuring all equipment orders are in place to meet the activity requirements.
- Prepare wells authorization for expenditures in relation with managed contracts.
- Ensure preparation & participation of the Completions Team to Contractor Audits and Services Quality Meetings.
- Coordinate the participation of Completions team to the Drilling Improvement Process system.
- Ensure QAQC & follow-up of completion hardware consumables and stock throughout the supply chain process.
- Initiate derogation dossiers and keep track of downgraded situations and mitigation plans.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Petroleum Industry MSc (or equivalent professional experience).
- A minimum of 10 years of international experience in drilling engineering experience in completion engineering is a plus, and 3 years previous experience in an operational position.
- Demonstrated management skills with contract management experience.
- Multidisciplinary operational competencies in drilling and completion.
- Master in problem analysis, decision making, team work and leadership. Good human relation and communication skill, with right balance of diplomacy and firmness with Contractors.
