Reports to: Human Resource Manager
About US:
In 1979, our first product was baked giving birth to Ntake bakery. Since then we have grown into a multi sector business comprising of a bakery, wheat mill and paper recycling plant. With household names like Kaswa baking flour, AAA tissue and our bread which has come to be simply known as Ntake, we have endeared ourselves to the hearts of many Ugandans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Training
- Liaising with, organizing, coordinating, internal and external trainers for specialist training courses.
- Plan the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budgets.
- Evaluating training and development programmes to ensure return on investment by creating tests and evaluation processes.
Discipline & Performance
- Collecting, organizing and analyzing data from performance appraisals
- Sending out communication and advising staff about the performance cycle
Recruitment
- Preparing and placing advertisements on notice boards
- Coordinating the ID process.
- Coordinating staff induction and orientation.
- Entering all application received into the databank efficiently
- Preparing formal communications for staff e.g. condolence letters, gate passes
- Entering all application received into the databank efficiently.
Administrative
- Provides secretarial support by preparing formal communications entering, formatting, and printing information, organizing work messages maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
- Making preparations for departmental meetings
- Manage the distribution of Overalls to all staff
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any other related field.
- At least five years of experience in the HR role including at least two years working with expatriates
- Knowledge of cross-cultural dynamics
- Familiarity with immigration laws and compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills
- Strong communication skills.
