Job Summary: The Credit Officer (Female) ensures that clients who take loans are compliant to the repayment schedule and other terms and undertakes measures to ensure that such loans are performing at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Branch Manager to process loans for the clients who wish to take loans.
- Explain loan agreement to clients clearly before they sign it
- Make follow up phone calls to clients whose installments were missed to clear in time
- Perform credit worthy assessments and background checks of clients who wish to undertake loans
- Maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Collect loan repayment instalments from clients.
- Locate defaulting clients and make decisions in consultation with the branch manager to renegotiate with clients to pay the remaining amount.
- Participate in the marketing of GENPROF loan products in the field.
- Establish good customer service in areas of operation.
- Maintain an increased quality client base.
- Write weekly reports and submit to the line manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a diploma in any field with at least 1 year experience in sales or credit in the same or related filed obtained from a reputable company.
- Must be between the age of 23-35 years.
- Good command of both spoken and written English. Fluency in Lusoga or Luganda is an added advantage.
- Demonstrable track record of high integrity, reliability, and dependable.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks under minimum supervision.
