Job Title: Economic Policy Affairs Manager

Roofings Group is the leading manufacturer of quality steel and plastic building products in East Africa.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of advocacy strategies and programs in line with departmental objectives.
- Monitor and track relevant policies, legislation, and regulatory developments affecting the business.
- Conduct research and analysis on public policy issues and industry trends.
- Assist in preparing policy briefs, position papers, reports, and presentations.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Coordinate meetings, forums, and engagements with external stakeholders.
- Represent the Supervisor in selected industry engagements and advocacy platforms as assigned.
- Support internal communication of policy updates and advocacy priorities.
- Maintain a database of stakeholders and track engagement outcomes.
- Assist in identifying advocacy risks and opportunities and escalate appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in law, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, finance, economics or a related role.
- Membership to a Professional Body in Economics, Statistics, Law, Government Relations is desirable
- Basic understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement is an added advantage.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Good communication and report writing abilities.
- Interpersonal and relationship management skills.
