Job Title: Storekeeper (5 Positions)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
About Organisation:
Roofings Group is the leading manufacturer of quality steel and plastic building products in East Africa.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials in accordance with approved documentation
- Supervise loading of items for customers and verify dispatch accuracy
- Perform daily physical stock counts and prepare opening balances for reporting to the office
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the store at all times
- Issue goods based on approved requisitions, invoice notes, and delivery notes.
- Participate in stocktaking and verification exercises as scheduled by management
- Organize and label stock systematically to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
- Manage and supervise store personnel, including support and casual staff.
- Train store staff on material handling, safety, and inventory identification procedures.
- Monitor and control material damage, ensuring proper handling and storage practices
- Ensure that physical stock levels consistently match bin cards and system records
- Enforce compliance with all workplace safety standards and procedures
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Self-motivated individual with strong teamwork and collaboration skills
