Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated, organized, and enthusiastic Store Assistant Trainee to join our Stores team for a six-month traineeship. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to gain practical, hands-on experience in stores and inventory operations while working in a professional environment.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day activities of the Stores Department and develop valuable skills in inventory control, stock management, procurement support, and operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming goods.
- Support the issuance of stock and ensure proper documentation of all store transactions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock management systems.
- Conduct routine stock counts and participate in periodic inventory audits.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and report low or obsolete stock items.
- Assist with preparing inventory and stores reports.
- Support procurement and logistics activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with company stores procedures, health and safety standards, and inventory control policies.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Stores Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Inventory Management, Stores Management, Supply Chain Management, or any other related field.
- Recent graduate, Student or candidate with limited work experience seeking practical exposure.
- Good knowledge of inventory and stores management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
