Job Title: City Technical Operations Associate

Organisation: Autochek Uganda

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

About Organisation:

Autochek Uganda is a prominent automotive technology development company that provides a unified digital marketplace for buying, selling, and financing cars in Uganda. The company entered the Ugandan market by acquiring the regional car marketplace Cheki Uganda, shifting the focus toward accessible auto financing solutions under their signature #DriveNowPayLater initiative.

Job Summary: Support the technical Lead with all stages of the after-Sales service delivery in the assigned territory. Increase after-market sales by establishing business relationships with potential partners and customers. Supervise to ensure service excellence of all routine and scheduled maintenance services in the assigned territory. Support the Technical Lead with the identification, recruitment, development, and relationship management of aftermarket dealers and workshop partners in the assigned territory. Review work orders and discuss work with the implementation team. Review partners & customers periodically to ensure healthy ROl. Confer with the team to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication, organisation, and negotiation skills
  • After-sales Automotive product knowledge and marketing
  • Strong OEM and technical skills
  • Proven track record of leading successful, innovative commercialisation
  • Strong experience in operational management, business development, spare parts & services management.
  • A strong knowledge of automotive
  • Good people management skills
  • Existing relationship with genuine parts vendors and auto industry leaders.
  • Strong knowledge in network development, workshop organisation, quick service, commercial vehicle and technical training
  • Minimum of 3years of automotive industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility in technical operations
  • Understands the extended enterprise and have an appreciation for value creation based on an understanding of the overall vision for the business
  • Thoughtful and demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making based on accurate and timely analysis
  • Able to deliver the highest standards of customer service
  • BSc degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive training in automotive after-sales
