Job Title: Graduate Intern – Communications and Influencing (No Experience Jobs)

Job Summary: Given the above background and the scope of the related work, the department is seeking for a graduate intern to support the delivery of the Communications and influencing agenda effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with program teams to document written impact stories for further sharing and profiling the organization’s work to effectively draw lessons, support resource mobilization and in line with the influencing agenda
- Compiling quarterly newsletters.
- Assisting with Designing and coordinating the production of IEC materials (such as, t-shirts, banners, photos, posters / fliers and social media posts) working closely with the procurement team.
- Working with the team in planning and organizing internal and public events as well as outreach meetings in line with the Plan International Uganda strategic priorities.
- Carry out event branding and visibility through management the positioning of branding materials like pull-up banners, teardrops and other branding and visibility materials.
- Participation in promoting Plan International Uganda’s visibility on existing organizational platforms (such as Planet and Media Bank,) and approved social media platforms
- Support donor visits to enhance resource mobilization efforts
- Content development and execution of campaigns.
- Basic photography for project activities and events.
Key Deliverables
- Quarterly edited impact stories (along with photos) and shared (including Humanitarian Response Stories)
- Quarterly newsletters compiled (1 newsletter compiled per quarter)
- Public events coordinated and meetings (depending on Plan International calendar and project events)
- Social media posts achieved per quarter (at least 3 project and program/event related posts every month)
- All captured project photos uploaded on media bank every month.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism or a related field from a recognized university or institution
- Should have completed university between 2023 and 2025
Skills and knowledge required for the internship.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Basic graphic designing in preferably Canva or Illustrator
- Excellent writing skills for internal and external audiences
- Knowledgeable and able to execute social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
- Basic photography skills
- Ability to work with media
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to work in a Team Setting
- Openness to learning
- A Positive attitude
