Founded as an all-women-led social enterprise by professionals from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, VIG is dedicated to addressing gender and social inequalities, combating intergenerational poverty faced by women and children, and promoting a feminist and intersectional agenda across the Asian, MENA, Latin American, and African regions.

Job Summary: Vashi Impact Group (VIG) is looking for a capable, proactive, and trustworthy 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 to support accounting, financial management, taxation, payroll, and statutory compliance across our Uganda operations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline
At least 2 years’ accounting experience in Uganda
Strong practical knowledge of Ugandan tax and statutory requirements
Hands-on experience working with URA and URSB
Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, NSSF, and corporate compliance
Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills
