Kyagalanyi Coffee Limited (KCL) is Uganda’s oldest licensed coffee exporter and a leading processor of high-quality Arabica and Robusta coffee. Established in 1992 following the liberalization of the coffee industry, it now operates as the Ugandan subsidiary of the global coffee trader Volcafe Group (part of ED&F Man).
Job Summary: Mechanical Engineering graduates are involved in the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems and machinery .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting
- : Assist in designing mechanical components, machines, and systems using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software .
Equipment Maintenance
- : Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and engines .
Installation & Commissioning
- : Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical systems and equipment .
Troubleshooting
- : Diagnose mechanical faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions .
Project Support
- : Assist in managing mechanical engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation .
Safety Compliance
- : Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards .
Technical Reporting
- : Prepare maintenance logs, inspection reports, and technical documentation .
