Job Title: Farm Data Clerk – Bulemezi Farm

BPIL produces and distributes quality day-old chicks and HACCP certified animal feed through over 40 branches within Uganda and the East African region. BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken brand retailed directly through our 30 Pearl chicken shops. Pearl also supplies leading wholesale, retail and food service customers with quality Ugandan National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) certified products.
Job Summary: The primary role will involve maintaining accurate and organized records of various aspects of the farm’s operations, including bird data, feed consumption and movements, eggs and other relevant administrative information, The position holder will work under the rules, regulations and guidelines of BPIL while ensuring the accomplishment of goals and targets set by Management
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of all the FMCG products sold at the Shop (Dressed chicken and all related products
- Reconciliation for Bulemezi Farm feed (opening balance for the week + Feed received in the week-feed consumed = Expected closing stock).
- Reconciliation for Bulemezi Farm daily mortality records, charcoal usage and other consumables.
- Expected closing stock/Counted stock should tally with Navision balance. These must be printed and reviewed by Inventory Accountant every week.
- Posting all Bulemezi Farm daily transactions in Navision real time
- Ensure all chicken houses have accurate pen cards that tally with Nav farm balances.
- Monitor data for accuracy and report inconsistencies or discrepancies
- Ensure all farm consumables are fully posted in Navision.
- Ensure weekly feed stock counts are carried out and manage feed store. Ensure no feed variances reported.
- Act as focal point for both internal and external Bulemezi Farm grievances.
- Compiles staff attendance registers for farm manager approval.
- Assist in preparing reports on farm productivity, costs, and performance metrics.
- HR support functions.
- Cascade required information to the field team as maybe required from time to time.
- Ensure staff clock in and out of the attendance machine/register and provide required support.
- Compile and share monthly payroll data to the payroll accountant
- Report and follow up with work related injuries
- Support the field team with HR related documentation and procedures including implementing the noticeboard policy
- Focal point for both internal and external grievances

- Any other duties assigned by the line manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Business Administration /Equivalent further education on data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, or farm management software.
- Skills and Experience:
- Basic skills in arithmetic
- Minimum of 1-2 years in similar data management position in a busy commercial organisation
- Computer literacy especially accounting systems
- Reporting skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills
