About Organisation:
ForAfrika is an African-led humanitarian and development organisation, originally established as Joint Aid Management (JAM) in 1984. ForAfrika was founded by Peter and Ann Pretorius in response to a severe famine in Mozambique. The organisation initially provided emergency food relief and has since expanded to include broader community development initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Qualification: Advanced Certificate in Education and certificate in Mechanics is must.
- Experience Level: Entry level
- Experience Length: 3 years
- Valid Ugandan National driver’s license.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressive responsible experience as a driver with a safe driving record is required.
- Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles, including vans and other kinds of motorized vehicles specifically classes B1, C1, D1 is required.
- A valid defensive driving certificate is desirable
- Prior experience in sales or distribution is an advantage.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of local routes and customer locations.
- Organized and detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit, able to handle product loading/unloading when needed.
