Job Summary: The Market Developer is responsible for driving the development, growth, and positioning of our products in Uganda market. The Market Developer will focus on identifying new market opportunities, support the business to enhance its products offerings, and making the products available & visible in areeas of deployment

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Market Analysis

• Conduct basic market research to identify emerging customer needs, and potential business opportunities trends in areas of deployment
• Analyse the competitive landscapes and provide actionable insights that could inform product and market strategies.
• Evaluate customer feedback and market data to refine products and positioning

Product Support

• Timely obtain and share customer feedback that could improve MPL’s product offering to align with market demands
• Manage product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery/Listing of EPDs or NPDs.
• Conduct product market testing and avail necessary feedback to the category structure promptly

Sales & Marketing Support

• Identifying and generating sales opportunities , building client relationships, and achieving sales targets
• Monitor product performance post – launch and share insights if any.
• Provide customer feedback that could facilitate marketing teams to craft compelling product messaging a campaigns.
• Support in pricing, promotions, and distribution of EPDs/NPDs.
• Support in the deployment of EPD/NPDP POSM.

Performance Monitoring

• Track Key performance metrics(KPIs) to evaluate product success and market penetration and target attainment periodically
• Prepare reports on product and market performance
• Recommend improvement actions based on performance insights.

Financial Management

• Collect cash in trade and optimally reconcile with Distributors.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risk to sales in assigned routes and escalate for mitigation

Compliance

• Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of duties in the country
• Ensure Adherence to Movit company policies and procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field. Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage

Related Minimum Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in sales and marketing, or similar role.
• Must have a valid Ugandan driving permit.
• Must demonstrate good driving skills with a clean driving record and the ability to drive extensively for field assignments.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

• Frequency of travel: Regular travel is required for in country deployments with long field days; location may vary and may require overnight stays.
