Southgate Industries is a leading fruit processing company, located in Kampala Industrial & Business Park (KIBP Namanve). We process pineapples, mangoes, and bananas into puree, concentrate, and other value-added products.

 

Job Summary: The Store In-charge for Finished Products will be responsible for managing the storage and dispatch of finished products (bottled juice and concentrate). The role will involve maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring proper handling, and coordinating timely dispatch to customers.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   The Store In-charge (finished goods) oversees:

  • Storage and Handling
  • Inventory Management
  • Dispatch Coordination
  • Compliance and Documentation

Duty/Responsibility

  • Oversee the storage of finished products, ensuring they are stored under optimal conditions to maintain product quality.
  • Ensure that finished goods are accurately logged into inventory systems upon production completion.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure that products are dispatched in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of finished products to customers, ensuring correct quantities and proper documentation.
  • Maintain proper records of all dispatched goods and communicate with the Logistics Supervisor for delivery schedules.
  • Ensure that storage and handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all stock movements and product dispatches.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is critical.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field
