Job Summary: The Senior Manager – Business Performance and Analytics will drive informed decision-making and improve overall business performance through the effective use of data, aiming at extracting actionable insights from data that translate into relevant, accurate and usable strategic knowledge.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting for key metrics and KPIs regularly to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the Dashboards and Reports development: Designing and developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Establish KPIs and Metrics, working with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor business performance.
- Oversee the proactive generation of insights through collection and analysis/interpretation of data concerning customers and their usage behavior, channels, competition, and the macro-environment into relevant, accurate and usable strategic knowledge.
- Oversee the development of Predictive Analytics and Forecasting models leveraging advanced AI/ML modelling techniques for future business performance.
- Oversee the Business Plan forecast modelling. Support the Business planning process by developing forecast models for both Financial and Non-Financial KPIs.
- Drive regular interactions for the assurance of both financial and non-financial KPI reporting.
- Talent Development: Building and developing a high-performing analytics team through recruitment, training, and mentoring.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Participate in the assessment and selection of appropriate tools and technologies to support data analytics initiatives and overseeing their implementation.
- Engage functional departments to understand their BI needs according to strategic impact to deliver insights and guide business decisions, as well as gather feedback to improve analytics processes and deliverables.

- Data Analytics and ability to drive insights from data analysis.
- Reports automation and data visualization.
- Effective performance monitoring and reporting.
- Sound Business Plan/reforecast and associated key assumptions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications in project management, data governance, data science or IT management are desirable.
Work Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated skills in Data Analytics and visualization projects.
- Demonstrated experience in UI/UX design concepts.
- Proficiency in Data Science & ML development.
- Experience in deployment of big data platforms and technologies such as Hadoop Hortonworks, Spark e.t.c.
- Experience in design and implementation of data models and ETL pipelines for AI, ML operations and data visualization projects.
- At least 3 years’ experience in managing Data engineers and analyst teams.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a telecommunication environment.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of automation, analysis and visualization using tools such as SQL, Python, MATLAB/R, Power BI, and Tableau to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products, especially, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint.
- Operational knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS for deploying and managing data analytics infrastructure and services.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to formulate hypotheses and develop data-driven solutions.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications, and documentation.
- Strong ability to communicate embed information, business process and system wide changes to a technical and nontechnical audience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
- Flexible and adaptable.
