NVPPCL is listed on the Uganda Stock Exchange, with an expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY 2010/2011).
Job Summary: The Trainee Printer will learn the printing processes and become a professional printer within two years.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn all printing processes by following instructions as given by supervisors and become conversant with handling tools, machines and printing materials (plates, papers, inks, solvents) within two years.
- Participate in the maintenance of the printing press as guided by supervisors to ensure that machines are in good working condition so that quality work is printed and deadlines are met.
- Clean the machines on a daily basis by following the guidelines on the cleaning chart to prevent stoppages of the machines to ensure that quality work is printed in timely manner.
- Organize the work floor by ensuring that everything is put in the right place and kept neat and tidy, to avoid accidents, ease movement around the floor and for easy identifications of materials to enable smooth operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an A’ level Certificate.
- Certificate in Printing technology is an added advantage.

- Passionate about printing,
- Self-motivated.
