It is a multimedia business housing newspaper, magazines, internet publishing, television, radio broadcasting, commercial printing, advertising and distribution services. NVPPCL is listed on the Uganda Stock Exchange, with an expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY 2010/2011).

Job Summary: The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated individual to fill the role of a SALES SUPERVISOR.

The role of Sales Supervisor Publishing & Commercial printing is to maximize sales opportunities across all market segments for printing and Publishing sales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate and implement a sales plan for the purpose of growing market share and clientele base for Publishing & commercial printing
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, training and updates about the publishing & commercial unit with sales team to achieve revenue targets
  • Manage client relationship through regular visits and face to face engagements.
  • Support the sales team in the preparation of prequalification documents with the aim of supplier list competitive bids to win business for Vision Printing & Publishing and make us
  • Solicit leaders in the industry-publishing from Education Development Partners (EDPs) developer Vision Publishing as a content
  • DEOs, teachers, schools and owners of associations to exploit sales opportunities from Use-of-mouth circulation to ensure proper planning and the maximizing of bookshops and distributors channel.
  • Identify market and brand needs for business enough visibility and marketing support
  • Develop and continuously update databases as a key tool in clientele management.
  • Monitor stock levels and predict consumption patterns to help avoid stockouts. and ensure
  • Maintain proper procedures and policies for all Publishing & commercial printing transactions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Degree in a business-related field from a recognized institution.

Working Experience

  • 5 years sales experience in a management position.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft office packages

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Proficient in Computer-Skills-Microsoft packages
  • Training and Skills-Planning, organizing, controlling and decision making
  • Sales and Negotiation skills
  • Publishing Knowledge skills

Personal Attributes

  • High level of integrity with high level initiative
  • Should be self-motivated with high level initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate, team oriented/ship and monitoring to skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
