National Medical Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was
established by an Act of Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and
distribute medicines and other medical supplies to public health facilities in
Uganda.

Job Summary: The NMS Cost
and Management Accountant will be responsible for budgetary costing, budget
monitoring and supervision of payroll preparation.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

Initiate the preparation of the annual
Corporation budget by the 15th of February with finance regulations and
statutory requirements
Supervise the preparation of the payroll
and reconciliation of staff accounts in line with statutory regulations.
Prepare statutory returns and management
of source document books in line with statutory regulations.
Compile and submit monthly and annual
financial reports and cash flows in line with statutory and corporate
regulations.
Periodically conduct stock taking in line
with stock taking regulations and corporate objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

The applicant must hold a BBA/BCOM with
Accounting option(honors)
Professional ACCA/ CPA full qualification
Three or more years’ experience in Finance
and Accounts
Computer literacy skills.
