Job Summary: The Management Accountant will ensure financial stability, efficiency, and profitability for DT Logistics Limited.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of accurate monthly management accounts by the 5th day following a month.
- Documentation and reconciliation of financial statements on weekly, monthly and annual basis while minimizing financial risk.
- This includes being aware of current processes, understanding company weaknesses, communicating areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets.
- Assist in budget This includes feeding individuals around the company data and on formation on historical spending’s across a variety of general ledger coding.
- This will include managing of forecasts and budgets on a daily, monthly and annual basis.
- Ensure financial compliance. This includes understanding external reporting requirements, ensuring proper resources are on hand to meet those requirements and overseeing the final product/ services being delivered to external parties.
- Act as an audit This includes meeting with external audit staff, being receptive to audit findings, implementing reporting changes, and communicating to upper authorities.
- Daily and monthly bank
- Submission of daily debtors’ position and weekly report on Monday cashflow meeting by close of Saturday following a week.
- Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, reflecting products or services Sending reminders for overdue payments and communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances.
- Efficiently monitoring and collecting customer payments through process;
- Invoicing Process: Manage the entire invoicing process, from creation to distribution e. ensuring accurate and timely invoicing that reflects the products or services provided.
- Payment Collection: Responsible for ensuring the timely collection of payments from customers and Track and manage incoming payments, making sure the revenue flows smoothly into the organization.
- Accuracy and Efficiency: Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations related to accounts receivable i.e. this includes processing and monitoring incoming payments, verifying and positing receipts, and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers. Handle inquires, address discrepancies, and work collaboratively to resolve any payment-related issues.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Finance & Accounting, Degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration majoring in Finance or Accounts.
