Established 30 years ago as Biyinzika, BPIL has grown from small beginnings to a company with over 9?5 employees stationed in over 9 production sites. BPIL produces and distributes quality day-old chicks and HACCP certified animal feed through over 40 branches within Uganda and the East African region. BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken brand retailed directly through our 30 Pearl chicken shops. Pearl also supplies leading wholesale, retail and food service customers with quality Ugandan National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) certified products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive commercial growth and offer technical support in the assigned territory.
• Regularly visit customers in the field to drive sales objectives and provide technical support to help farmers succeed.
• Frequently hold farmers’ meetings and trainings to drive chicks and feeds sales.
• Attend to customer complaints.
• Improve farmers’ management practices so that they are successful enough to survive and grow their business.
• Promote Biyinzika Poultry Uganda Limited products and branches through regular interaction with customers in the area of operation and by participating in promotional events organised by the Company.
• Seek out new customers in the area of operation and expand the company customer base so that the Company maximises its sales potential.
• Understand customers’ objectives, buying patterns, rearing systems, standards of management, and potential for growth to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote the company as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving preferred supplier status.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Sales and Marketing, Agricultural, Animal Husbandry, or Veterinary training.
• Experience or knowledge in the animal health industry, including working with either animal supplements, veterinary pharmacies, animal feed, or farming equipment.
• Knowledge of sales and marketing of FMCGs and feeds.
• Product knowledge.
• Customer care skills.
• Computer literacy.
• High level of integrity and honesty.
• Professional personal presentation.
