Kampala Club which was founded in 1911 is Uganda’s premier multi-sports, exclusive members’ club, offering an impressive range of sporting facilities including; three squash courts one of which is glass-backed, six clay lawn tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, a badminton court, table tennis, darts, and snooker (pool) facilities, a gym/fitness studio, and a number of board games including Chess, Scrabble and Omweso.
Job Summary: Kampala club limited invites applications from suitably motivated and detail-oriented interns for the position of: Intern – STOCK MANAGEMENT. The interns to join our team will gain practical experience in Stock Management, Inventory Reconciliation and Accounting Systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The interns will mainly assist with:
- Reconciling bar stock against records in Tally
- Checking and reconciling stock movements using BURP
- Assisting with EFRIS system reconciliations and documentation
- Identifying and following up on stock variances and discrepancies
- Supporting daily stock counts and inventory records
- Preparing simple stock and reconciliation reports
- Assisting the accounts/stock team with general inventory-related tasks
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- We are looking for students or recent graduates pursuing or holding qualifications in: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Procurement, Inventory/Stores Management or a related field.
The ideal candidate should be:
- Computer literate and comfortable working with Excel
- Good with numbers and attention to detail
- Honest, organized, and willing to learn
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Interested in gaining hands- on experience with Tally, BURP, and EFRIS
