Job Summary: The Chemical Engineer/ Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing industrial processes that convert raw materials into valuable products. The role involves ensuring production efficiency, maintaining safety and environmental standards, and improving product quality through research, testing, and process innovation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement chemical processes and equipment for manufacturing.
- Monitor production processes and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure efficiency.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve product quality and yield.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality control, and maintenance.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance productivity.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and process specifications.
- Oversee plant operations and provide technical support when required.
- Optimize resource utilization, including raw materials, energy, and labor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (typically 2years).
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Proficiency in engineering software and process simulation tools.
- Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
