Job Summary: The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, organized coffee station.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality and presentation.
- Maintain adequate stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment.
Customer Service
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Recommend beverages and menu items.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately.
Hygiene & Operations
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee preparation area.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory and report stock shortages.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or Barista Training is an added advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a café or coffee shop environment is preferred.
- Coffee preparation techniques.
- Customer service excellence.
- Communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork.
