Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.
Job Summary: Avanti Energy Services Limited is looking for an experienced Cementing Project Desk Engineer to support our operations in the oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth cementing operations, from pre-planning through execution, and will be located at our office during working hours
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead safety efforts, ensuring all field personnel adhere to company safety requirements and monitor related safety statistics.
- Attend daily “Morning Meetings” during the operational period.
- Available 24/7 to support operational needs.
- Manage cementing equipment, products, and engineering personnel supply chain.
- Take ownership of laboratory testing, technical service reports, and cementing operations.
- Supervise personnel, manage inventories, and prepare post-analysis reports for any equipment failures.
- Design, evaluate, and report on cementing operations.
- Prepare supporting documents for invoicing and finalize the Final Well Summary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Formal Cementing Schooling.
- 10 years of cementing experience with international exposure.
- 5 years of rig-site experience as a Cementer.
- 3 years in a Supervisory role.
- Strong regional experience and technical competence with cementing systems.
- HSE competence and the ability to work onshore.
- Proficient with relevant software and programs for the role.
