Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.
Job Summary: Avanti Energy Services Limited, a leading Oil and Gas Human Resource Recruitment and Consultancy firm, is seeking a HSE Supervisor to support our client in the dynamic oil and gas sector. This is a critical role for a results-oriented professional committed to advancing clear goals while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Developing and updating safety procedures and emergency response plans.
- Providing training and educating employees on safety and environmental policies.
- Investigating accidents, preparing reports, and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensuring compliance with local, national, and industry regulations.
- Maintaining safety records, monitoring performance, and reporting to management.
- Promoting a safety culture and fostering employee engagement in safety practices.
- Managing emergency response, first aid, and environmental impact monitoring.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Oil and gas management, or a related field.
- Certification: Nebosh Certificate
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in HSE supervisory role, preferably in oil & gas.
- 2 years in Rig Management Experience
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment, and excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills.
