Job Summary: To install, monitor and provide tracking installation services and support for motorcycles in line with company guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the recovery team on field tracking to recover from non-complaint clients and stolen bikes.
- Align and assign the tracking devices with motorcycles in line with company guidelines.
- Install, configure and maintain trackers.
- Review of trackers that have gone offline.
- Review trackers of all impounded bikes.
- Remove tracking devices for finished loans.
- Install trackers for those that are lost from impounded bikes being resold to customers.
- Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed.
- Resolve hardware-related issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure the smooth functioning of the motorcycles.
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure hardware and software compatibility and proper integration.
- Maintain an inventory of all hardware equipment and track any changes.
- Create and maintain documentation on hardware equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to hardware installation, maintenance, and security.
- Create sub-accounts and update login details in the system.
- Save bikes to different branches using details shared on the in-house spreadsheet.
- Renaming the device with the specific number plate and SIM card number.
- Monitor and provide support to the installation team on the user end by executing commands to see if they are effective or resetting devices with issues.
- Monitor device statuses and communicate to different personnel in case they need attention.
- Updating the in-house spreadsheet.
- Providing support to different staff members with the user-end platform.
- Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate in Automotive Mechanics or other related field.
- At least 2(two) years of working experience or training in apprenticeship in hardware installation and maintenance, tracking system installation, management and security.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Skills in tracking system installation, management and security.
- Person Specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills(oral and written) and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment under minimum supervision & under a tight deadline.
- Patient in finding and fixing faults.
- Very good physical strength and stamina.
- Willingness to go out and work in all weathers in case of breakdowns.
- May be required to work outside official work hours and be on call at all times.
