The company has 25 years of experience in the production and commercialization of high-quality agricultural seed such as cereals and pulses, as well as the distributor of East West International hybrid vegetables seeds. NASECO has its head office in Kampala and production plant in Nalweyo Kakumiro district.
Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated professional to analyze, develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across our entire production chain – from research and hybrid development to parent seed multiplication, farming, out-growers, workshop operations, processing, and quality assurance. Your work will drive efficiency, quality, and full compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and update SOPs in line with Uganda seed laws, ISTA, HACCP, ISO, and health & safety requirements
- Collaborate with section managers and Quality Assurance to embed best practices
- Monitor compliance through audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
- Deliver training sessions and build team capacity for consistent SOP adherence
- Maintain accurate documentation and report on compliance status and improvements
- Contribute to continuous process enhancement for greater efficiency and quality
- As a case study manage one business unit for a to be agreed time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomic Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, or related field is a MUST. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture related course.
- 2–3 years’ experience in production management or SOP coordination in seed/agro-industry (hybrid maize experience advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of seed industry standards and regulations
- Excellent skills in documentation, auditing, training, and communication
- Proficient in MS Office; collaborative, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
