Job Summary: AQUA Group is looking for an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to join our team in Uganda. We are seeking a procurement professional with strong strategic and operational expertise, capable of managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, negotiations, and ensuring cost-effective and high-quality sourcing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract management and delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and favorable terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed standards and contracts.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable local regulations.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and supply chain activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Procurement, with proven experience in a managerial or senior procurement role.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience within the African market is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional supplier markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
