Job Summary: Our client is looking for a Lead Generation Officer who will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting potential customers into qualified sales opportunities. The role will involve proactive prospecting, client engagement, sales support, market research, and relationship management to contribute to the company’s revenue growth and business development objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential customers and new business opportunities through market research, referrals, networking, digital platforms, and other channels.
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through cold calls, emails, social media, direct visits, and other appropriate communication channels.
  • Qualify leads based on customer needs, business potential, and readiness to purchase.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of prospects and leads.
  • Promote and sell the company’s products and services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, meetings, and follow-ups as required.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects to move qualified leads through the sales process and support conversion.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Regularly engage customers to understand their needs, concerns, and level of satisfaction.
  • Encourage repeat business, referrals, and long-term client relationships.
  • Address customer concerns appropriately and coordinate with relevant departments to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify emerging customer needs, market trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to support improvements in products, services, and sales strategies.
  • Use customer insights to develop effective approaches for lead generation and conversion.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services, including their features, benefits, pricing, and value propositions.
  • Clearly communicate product and service benefits to prospective and existing customers.
  • Keep updated on relevant market developments and competitor offerings.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc field visits to prospective and existing clients.
  • Participate in client meetings, promotional activities, networking events, and other business development activities.
  • Identify sales opportunities during field engagements and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, sales activities, follow-ups, and conversions.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales and lead-generation reports.
  • Provide regular updates on sales pipeline progress, customer feedback, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Finance, and other relevant departments to support effective service delivery.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure customer requirements are communicated and addressed promptly.
  • Support team initiatives aimed at improving sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sales, lead generation, business development, customer service, or a related role is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and engage prospective customers effectively.
  • Experience using digital platforms, CRM systems, or other lead-management tools is an advantage.
