Job Summary: The Finance Controller is responsible for ensuring robust financial governance, accurate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), profitability management, cash flow optimization, working capital efficiency, and risk management, while acting as a strategic business partner who drives value creation, supports performance management and decision-making, and leverages Microsoft ERP solutions for financial reporting, consolidation, planning, internal controls, and process automation to strengthen financial oversight, enhance operational efficiency, and support sustainable business growth.
This role requires strong operationally focused financial planning, budgeting, and cost management skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and oversee financial strategies to optimize profitability
- Prepare and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow management
- Analyse financial data to provide insights for business growth and operational efficiency
Cost & Inventory Management:
- Track and control production costs, raw material pricing, and supply chain expenses
- Work closely with the procurement team to negotiate cost-effective supplier agreements
- Manage inventory valuation and ensure accurate financial reporting of stock levels
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry specific compliance requirements.
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and fraud.
- Handle audits (internal & external) and ensure accurate financial record-keeping
Financial Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and investor presentations.
- Provide insights on pricing strategies and profit margins for new product launches
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial strategies with company goals
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Optimize cash flow and working capital for smooth manufacturing operations. –
- Oversee bank relationships, funding requirements, and investment planning.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Budget accuracy and cost variance analysis
- Production cost efficiency and margin improvement
- Cash flow optimization and working capital management
- Profitability of new product lines and pricing strategy effectiveness
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance and Accounting field.
- CPA, ACCA, CFA, or similar financial certification preferred
- Experience in the cosmetics, FMCG, or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial modelling, and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- 5- 10+ years of experience in the Finance and accounting roles, preferably within the cosmetics or consumer goods industry
