Job Title: Security Supervisor

Organisation: Uganda Tea Corporation Limited (UTCL)

Duty Station: Lugazi, Uganda

Job Summary: UTCL is located along the Kampala Jinja highway near Lugazi municipal council in Buikwe district approximately 48 kilometers from Kampala City and 40 Kilometers from Jinja opposite Mt ST Mary’s College Namagunga. The company produces over 3.5 million kilos of tea annually (10% of Uganda’s national output) and also deals in afforestation, coffee, cocoa and bananas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day activities of security guards
• Investigate security incidents, report risks and implement corrective actions
• Supervise, schedule and support security personnel
• Conduct boundary inspections and report encroachments
• Maintain secure company boundaries and security records
• Communicate management directives and perform duties as assigned by the Security Manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• ‘A’ level certificate with past experience in security role, preferably ex-soldier or ex-police officer
• Ability to enforce compliance and maintain discipline
• At least two years’ experience in the same role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities
• High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting and use of digital tools for monitoring
