Headquartered in the UK with major regional operations based out of Kampala, Uganda, the company actively tackles carbon emissions and energy poverty. They primarily focus on large-scale infrastructure projects that support climate resilience and agricultural transformation.
Job Summary: Responsible for leading the organization’s financial and commercial functions by overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, revenue growth, commercial strategy, and regulatory compliance. The role ensures financial sustainability, profitability, and informed decision-making to support business objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, or related discipline) is often an advantage.
- Professional Qualifications: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA (where applicable)
- Typically, 8-15 years of progressive experience in finance and commercial management.
- At least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in: Financial planning and analysis, Budgeting and forecasting, Financial reporting, Commercial strategy and business development, Contract negotiation and management, Risk management and compliance
