Job Title: Communication Officer

AVSI Foundation is an international non-profit and non-governmental organization founded in Italy in 1972. It operates over 300 development and humanitarian projects across 41 countries. AVSI focuses on education, agriculture, child protection, health, livelihoods, and emergency response, reaching millions of direct beneficiaries worldwide.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop information and communication strategies to support overall organizational communication projects and programmes.
- Develop guidelines for internal communication tools and products for an effective organization’s internal communication, and networking.
- High quality graphics design of organization reports.
- Document project change stories, archive project photographs and update social media.
- Event rapporteur and taking minutes.
- Produce quality photography.
- Produce quality videography and 3D animation.
- Event rapporteur and taking meeting minutes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Preferably degree in Mass Communications; Development Communication; Communications, Journalism, or other relevant fields.
- Demonstrated competency in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Premier Pro, photography, filming and excellent writing skills.
- Relevant experience in working for international organizations or consultancy assignments, especially in strategic communications planning.

- Ability to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to multi-task and work irregular and long hours.
- Sound knowledge of AVSI Foundation.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications: the objective of this assignment is to provide professional visual and photography, which can be used for external communication and publication purposes.
- Willingness to be based in rural or urban setting with frequent travel within the implementation area.
- Cultural sensitivity, patience and flexibility.
