Job Summary: Our Client is looking for a high-energy Sales and Marketing Manager to oversee the commercial strategy for two distinct, high-end hospitality properties: a premier mountain-side business and spa hotel and a luxury island beach resort.
The ideal candidate will be a “hybrid” marketer equally comfortable pitching MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) contracts to corporate boards as they are designing romantic getaway packages for leisure travelers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute separate, tailored marketing identities for the city/highland property (business-centric) and the island property (leisure-centric).
- Direct the sales team in identifying and closing high-value contracts with NGOs, government agencies, and corporate entities.
- Optimize room rates and seasonal packages to maximize RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) across both locations.
- Manage the digital footprint of both properties, ensuring high-quality visual content and consistent messaging.
- Drive direct bookings through the hotel websites to reduce dependency on third-party commissions.
- Oversee community management and reputation on platforms like TripAdvisor, Google, and Booking.com.
- Build and maintain a robust network with tour operators and travel agents within the East African circuit.
- Negotiate corporate rate agreements and long stay contracts.
- Represent the properties at national and international tourism trade fairs.
- Market the properties as premier venues for destination weddings, team-building retreats, and high-level conferences.
- Coordinate with the F&B and Operations teams to ensure promised deliverables meet the client’s expectations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors’ of Tourism and Hotel Management, BCOM, Mass Communications, public relations or an equivalent.
