Job Title: Maintenance Manager

About Organisation:
Eco Brixs started out in 2017. Frustrated with the lack of waste management systems in Masaka, we started collecting plastic in our back garden, and after collecting 2 tonnes alone, decided to start a simple plastic collection facility called ‘Masaka Recycling Initiative.’
Job Summary: The Maintenance manager is responsible for planning and scheduling of plant equipment maintenance to reduce downtime, developing & implementation of standard operating procedures and methods, oversee all installation, repair and maintenance of plant equipment, gap analysis and closing gaps for continuous improvement to maintain equipment in optimal working conditions, focused improvement to reduce downtime & maintenance costs, inventory management of spare parts, problem solving to prevent breakdowns, development and implementation of asset care & reliability centred maintenance programs & systems geared towards improving equipment efficiency & manufacturing excellence and management of maintenance activities using SAP system.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing industry
- Understanding and familiarity in plastic recycling/ Pet flake production is an added advantage.
- Leadership and managerial abilities
