Bayport Financial Services (U) Ltd is a leading non-deposit taking financial institution established in 2004, licensed and regulated by UMRA.
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated IT Officer with programming skills to support business systems, internal applications, and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong IT support fundamentals with basic to intermediate programming skills to help automate processes, support data analysis, and contribute to system improvements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level IT support (hardware, software, users)
- Develop and maintain small internal scripts or applications to automate tasks
- Support existing business systems and integrations
- Assist with basic data analysis and reporting
- Support system testing, upgrades, and deployments
- Maintain system documentation and configurations
- Support cybersecurity and IT policy compliance
- Work closely with business users to understand system requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration
- Basic to intermediate programming skills in at least one of the following:(Python, PHP, JavaScript, SQL)
- Understanding of databases and basic data handling
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills Added Advantage
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
- Experience in a financial institution or regulated environment
- Familiarity with IT security best practices
