Job Title: Research Officer (2 No Experience Jobs)

About Organisation:
Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.
Job Summary: Support the Senior Research Officer in undertaking research on best practices for implementing Free Zones.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comparative studies on incentives and tax regimes
- Prepare statistical profiles on regions
- Prepare policy briefs
- Build database for Free Zones activity reports
- Produce research papers on investment performance and opportunities
- Maintain market intelligence service supporting all departments
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics or Quantitative Economics
