About Organisation:

Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.

Job Summary: To provide technical support and guidance on management of international trade and export of products and services

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing and disseminating guidelines on export marketing requirements and standards for products/services;
• Developing product and service profiles for selected products and services for the guidance of exporters, export associations, and other business community;
• Monitoring and reporting on export performance and marketing trends using data analytics tools.
• Providing exporter-after-care services and handholding of potential exporters;
• Conducting market scoping studies on products/services in specific foreign markets;
• Carrying out trade data analysis; examining trade data statistics on trade volumes, values, trends, and patterns;
• Monitoring and facilitating Ugandan firms in online marketing of their products/services;
• Executing digital marketing campaigns to reach international markets.
• Facilitating outreach programs and export clinics to associations of producer’s manufacturers, exporters and other identifiable groupings;
• Supervising and appraising staff.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Academic Qualifications Either:

• A Honors’  Bachelor’s  Degree  in  either  Marketing,  International  Business, Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness from a recognized University or Institution

Or:

• Full professional Qualification/ Membership of Marketing (CIM) from a recognized awarding Institution

Work Experience

• At least three (3) years’ working experience at Officer level from a reputable organization/entity
