Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer – Projects Department

Tembo Steels (U) Ltd is a leading manufacturer of quality steel products in Uganda (East Africa). Our office is situated at crane chambers, 8th floor, Kampala with production plants in Lugazi and Iganga.
Job Summary: Tembo Steels (U) Ltd, one of East Africa’s leading steel manufacturers, is looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Projects team. This full-time role is ideal for early-career engineers eager to gain hands-on experience in industrial construction, factory expansion, and infrastructure development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support planning, design & execution of civil/structural works
- Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates & work schedules
- Monitor construction sites, quality & safety compliance
- Collaborate with senior engineers and contractors
- Learn and apply local construction codes and standards
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience (internships/projects in manufacturing are a plus)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or Revit Strong teamwork, communication & learning attitude
