Whave is a not-for-profit Ugandan social enterprise founded in 2011 working with rural communities, local government and the Ministry of Water and Environment to achieve 24/7 reliable clean water supply at national scale through fee-for-service approaches. We are also committed to improving handwashing in rural areas through development of portable and compact hand-wash stations that are attractive, can easily be transported in rural areas, and users can easily move them indoors and outdoors.
Job Summary: We are seeking a HR and Management Officer to join our team in Kampala. Applicants with diverse professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Human Resources: facilitating staff appraisals, keeping staff records, liaison with branch managers, managing/minuting HR meetings
- Meeting organization: recording management meeting discussions and decisions, action item follow-up, liaison with branch managers
- Record-keeping and admin, e.g. updating of asset inventories
- Managing contractors & problem solving e.g. IT, company communication systems, data and archives
