Job Summary:   The Transport Account Intern will play a crucial role in supporting our logistics operations by assisting in the management of transport accounts. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the transportation and logistics industry, working closely with our dedicated team.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support Account Management:

  • Assist account managers in day-to-day tasks related to transport accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client transactions and communications.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations for client meetings.

Client Interaction:

  • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and resolve issues.
  • Assist in handling client inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Logistics Coordination:
  • Assist in coordinating transportation schedules and logistics activities.
  • Track shipments and monitor the progress of deliveries to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with carriers and vendors to resolve transportation issues.

Data Management:

  • Input and manage data in transport management systems.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends and suggest improvements.

Documentation:

  • Prepare and manage transportation documents, including bills of lading, shipping orders, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving transportation and logistics operations.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A basic understanding of transportation and logistics concepts is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
