Job Summary: The Welding Engineer will be responsible for the quality control of piping related works
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and approve all the related procedures, reports and records of pipelines (including infield flowlines and feeder line) manufacture, fabrication, Storage, transportation, installation and testing, etc.
- Ensure the integrity and traceability of all associated piping activities including fabrication, installation, and testing, etc.
- Witness and supervise the material receipt and verification in fabrication shop yard or installation site.
- Check the dimension and tolerance based on the related drawings, specification, or applicable codes, etc to ensure the quality of the assembly.
- Witness and supervise the piping fabrication, installation and repair progress based on the design drawings and specifications, etc.
- Witness and supervise the non-metallic piping connection, assembly, repair and installation, etc.
- Witness and supervise heat treatment if required.
- Witness and supervise the pressure testing, cleaning and reinstatement, completion, etc.
- Review and approve all the related procedures, reports and records of pipelines (including infield flowlines and feeder line) manufacture, fabrication. Storage, transportation, installation and testing, etc.
- Line Pipe and heat induction bend manufacture FAT in factory.
- Witness and supervise the cold bends fabrication at site.
- Witness and supervise anti corrosion coating, concrete coating, insulation, cathodic protection, and field joint installation in fabrication shop yard or installation site.
- Witness and supervise the welding NDE and repair activities comply with the requirements above.
- Witness and supervise the pipelines (including infield flowlines and KF feeder line FC&G, hydro test, dewatering, drying and Nitrogen packing and site reinstatement, mechanical completion, etc)
- Witness and supervise the pipelines including flowlines and KF feeder line marks and warning signs installation
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering
- Major: Piping or the related.
- At least 8 years of experience
- At least 3 similar experiences working in a similar international project
- IWE/CWI certificate or equivalent
- Minimum ASNT II certificate or equivalent
- Familiar with QA&QC for oil field site construction projects
- Have similar working experience in international projects
- Fully conversant with relevant inspection techniques and able to select most appropriate technique
- Good knowledge of international code, standard and regulation, such as ASME, API, etc.;
- Good health is required
- Good at using CAD
- Good at using micro-office software and project tools.
