Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure
• Configure and manage MLP’s Virtual Network in Azure, establish our core services in the VNET, enable Azure to serve as a part of MLP’s network
• Develop scripts to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations
• Utilize native Azure services to meet the firm’s technology and resiliency requirements
• Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Azure
• Lead design process for network connectivity to Azure
• Extend MLP standard systems management processes into the cloud including change, incident, and problem management
• Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management
• Establish internal pricing and instance selection model for Azure virtual machines
• Integrate Azure management tooling with MLP including automation of spin-up and spin-down and billing approvals
• Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in Azure
• Implement solutions provided by Cloud Architects, Development Architects and Dev team members.
• Be active in the innovation required to evaluate and recommending new Cloud based technical solutions. This innovation should champion our mission of automation. Reliability engineering and making new technologies available for consumption by our development community
• Partner with development and operations teams to facilitate practical automation solutions and custom modules. Troubleshoot automation issues and wen required engage the resources to find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner.
• At the direction of lead architects, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy Azure applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modelling, and advanced analytics
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AZURE solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
• Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
• Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant for the Stanbic Bank job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• At least two years of experience in Azure IaaS and PaaS
• Knowledge of key Azure concepts and principles.
• Experience in participating client-facing workshops.
• Install, configure, automate, and monitor various cloud services, Infrastructure as a Service and Platform (IaaS and PaaS).
• Develop and produce Azure based documentation, including best practice design recommendations for migrations of applications from on-premise to Azure.
• Set up and troubleshoot Azure builds, including but not limited to ARM, SQL, Containers and Azure AD.
• Be a role model by being hands-on and a trusted leader for the rest of the team.
• Follow good methodology & development practices & principles.
• 2 years cloud experience preferably with Azure and AWS cloud
• 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and related technologies Helm
• Experience with containerS
• Experience with Infrastructure as code: Terraform
• Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a team setting
• Strong aptitude to learn and passion for problem solving
